PROBLEM : NO cash dispensed at the ABM or only some of the cash requested
was dispensed
- Do
not go to the Bank that owns the ABM (Acquirer) - but go directly to your
financial institution that issued the card to you (Issuer). This is because
your financial institution is responsible for you using the card on the
MultiLink Network and the Bank that owns the ABM cannot verify that the
debit card used that you are querying is actually yours as the card does not
carry your name on it. This is to safeguard customers.
-
Provide your financial institution with the receipt that you got from the
ABM and details of what occurred at the ABM. If you have misplaced
the receipt then let your customer service representative know the date,
approximate time, ABM location and amount that you were transacting.
- It
can take 5 to a maximum of 30 days for processing to be completed at the
Acquirer end. 95% of these type of ABM queries are responded to by
Acquirer's within 6 business days.
ABM
Photo Requests;
If you
are uncertain about who did a transaction on your account - then you may
ask your financial institution to request the Acquirer to print a copy of
the ABM photograph. This may attract a service fee.
Note
that the photograph will show the person at the ABM but it will not be able
to show if the money was collected by the person or not.
1. If at a MultiLink Member ABM and you can not access your Institutions to
withdraw funds please make your way over to the nearest ABM from your
Institution. This will put you in direct contact with your Institution.
2. If at your Institutions own ABM you still have difficulty then you may
either be at an ABM that is not functional or your Institution may be offline
