The MultiLink network is highly reliable with measured reliability figures of over 99% of all transactions being correctly handled. It has many modern systems and features to ensure this (see Network Reliability). However, in any complex technological system, such as MultiLink that spans all 14 Parishes across the island with thousands of terminals and hundreds of thousands of customers there can be a difficulty affecting a card holder transaction from time to time. While these problem occurrences are rare affecting less that 1% of all transactions they can happen and we do make provisions for this in the network to speedily correct any issues that might affect customer service.
