PROBLEM : At a merchant - there was no
response from the terminal but the money was taken (debited) from your
account or the merchant swiped your card twice and your account was debited
twice - but you got only one set of goods/services.
Go
directly to your financial institution that issued the card to you
(Issuer).
Provide your financial institution with the receipt that you got from
the POS terminal and details of what occurred. If you have misplaced
the receipt or got no receipt then let your customer service representative
know the date, approximate time, merchant location and amount that you were
transacting.
It can take 5 to a maximum of 30 days for processing. 70% of all queries
are responded to by Acquirer's within 6 business days
