MultiLink Services
J.E.T.S. operates an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Network that manifests two
distinct consumer services. The ABM and Debit / POS services are both marketed
under the Company’s service brand - MultiLink.
- The ABM Network
-
The first service offered by J.E.T.S. in June 1997, the ABM
sharing network allows customers of Member Financial Institutions to
perform cash withdrawals and balance enquires at any ABM, where the
MultiLink sign is displayed. The service offered greater convenience
by allowing cardholders to use ABM terminals of other Financial
Institutions while still retaining their account at their own
bank, building society or credit union with no loss of confidentiality
or privacy.
- The POS Network
-
Building on the infrastructure and capacity of the EFT network,
the Debit / POS service was launched in April 1999. This service
allowed customers to take their ABM Debit card into merchant stores and
effect payments electronically from their bank accounts. The Debit
/POS service has gained a large customer following as consumers readily
appreciate the time saving convenience of having direct access to their
bank account via their debit card.
